Happy Energy seeks installers for new projects

Cavity Wall Insulation - Happy EnergyHappy Energy is seeking expressions of interest from a wide range of heating, renewable energy and insulation installers, to join its national network of approved contractors, working on a range of new projects across Britain.  The installer network is being expanded in response to the re-launch of the Heat Project, a local authority endorsed energy saving service aimed at helping people living in privately owned and privately rented properties across Britain.  The Heat Project was originally launched in 1997 and grew to cover over 100 local authority districts with tens of thousands of leads being generated annually through multimillion home mail shots and other marketing activities.  Through the re-launched Heat Project, Happy Energy will again partner with local authorities to undertake fully endorsed marketing campaigns to generate leads for a wide range of services including heating upgrades, insulation measures and renewable energy installations.  After qualifying the leads, Happy Energy will allocate the work to an approved local contractor to carry out the technical survey and complete the works based on an approved table of rates.  In most cases, Happy Energy will contract directly with the householder, offering finance packages and managing customer payments, leaving the approved contractors to just get on with the installation without having to generate the works, produce handover packs or deal with any ECO funding.

Founder and CEO of Happy Energy who developed and launched the Heat Project, also secured the contract in 2008 to run the home efficiency services for Tesco and Marks and Spencer, generating over 100,000 enquiries a year for heating renewable energy and insulation works across all 3 services.  “By working in partnership with local authorities and other trusted brands and organisations, we can generate large volumes of high quality leads which are then passed out to our approved local contractors for servicing.  In the past, our installer network has liked this approach as it offers them a steady supply of work throughout the year, providing a base load of work on which to overlay the work that they generate themselves” he said.

Happy Energy is now seeking expressions of interest from a range of companies from Land’s End to John O’Groats who can offer any of the following services:

  • Insulation – loft, cavity, room in roof, under floor, internal and external wall
  • Gas, oil and LPG boilers and heating – ECO and able to pay works
  • Solar PV and solar thermal
  • Ground and air source heat pumps
  • Biomass boilers, stoves and wood burners
  • Electricians and installers of storage heaters
  • Energy Performance Certificates
  • landlord services such as legionella checks and inventories
  • Lead generation services

All works will be managed through an electronic iPad system, minimising paperwork and streamlining any commissioning or ECO paperwork.  In some cases Happy Energy will also supply the main components for the installation such as boilers, radiator, heat pumps etc, further assisting with contractors’ cash flow.

Installers and businesses wishing to secure a priority position as an approved contractor for their own area should complete the 5 minute expression of interest form at www.happynetwork.co.uk.  Installers who are part of the Happy Network will also receive priority access to ECO funding and will benefit from being able to buy products for their own customers whilst benefiting from our national discounts, rebates and enhanced warranties.
