Are you eligible for one of our boiler grants or heating grants?
If you answer “YES” to all of the above, you could be eligible for one of our heating grants to replace your boiler, upgrade your storage heaters, receive a partial grant to have central heating installed or a free grant to upgrade your heating controls.
If you believe you are eligible, you can speed up your application by getting the person who receives the benefits to complete our online eligibility check form here
In most cases the heating grants mean that we can offer you completely free heating and heating control upgrades. In a small number of cases where works are more complicated a contribution may be required, but we will confirm this with a free survey. Grants for mains gas boiler replacements are not available but grants to switch to a mains gas boiler from another fuel may be available.
If our boiler grants do not cover all of the cost of the works, you can either pay the difference, consider a finance package which we can arrange (subject to credit status) or if your property is rented, you may be able to ask your landlord to contribute as it is their property that is benefiting from the upgrade.
All grants are subject to survey, limited funding, terms and conditions. In some cases the grants are not enough to make the works completely free and a contribution may be required but this will be confirmed after the free survey.
You should be eligible if you receive one of these benefits:
*If you are in receipt of a Tax Credit or Universal Credit, your grant eligibility will be subject to a maximum income amount which is based on how many adults and children live in your home. Please contact us to find out more or see the tables below.
*A straight swap means a simple one in one out boiler of the same type, approximately same shape and size in the same location. Any relocation of the boiler or for example swapping from a back boiler to a wall mounted boiler will require a financial contribution
**The biomass boiler/stove and air source heat pump offer will require enough space for a hot water cylinder and will require a financial contribution or the option to use the Government Renewable Heat Incentive payments to repay a finance contribution
